Fleetwood Mac is a band of both British and American musicians and singers which was formed in 1967. They continued well after 1974, and in fact, still are together, but it is believed that the first seven years were his best years. The current members consist of Fleetwood Mac's Lindsey Buckingham, Stevie Nicks, John McVie and Mick Fleetwood.

The name of the group was created from the names of John and Mick, however, only Mick Fleetwood has been with the band since the time he started so far. In fact, John McVie, Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham may have been with the band for a while, but were not in the band when it was created. The band is probably more known for its revolving door, where there has been a high turnover of others involved in the band.

When Fleetwood Mac was created in 1967, consisted of Mick Fleetwood, who was interested from the start, Peter Green, who brought up but there were other interests at the time. However, Peter Green would resign. He brought Bob Brunning, but he and Bob Brunning had the understanding that if Peter Green was able to get in the band John McVie, Bob Brunning had to go.

It was not until after Fleetwood Mac's debut, John McVie, who became interested and agreed to join the band. Their first album together was released a year later, in 1968, it was not long before they released their second album in the same year. Before his third album, the band added a member, because Peter Green was not happy with the lack Jeremy Spencer's interest in cooperation with their music.

This was the beginning of the high turnover of members of the band would follow for a number years. Even Peter Green, who first formed the band could not continue with the band throughout its long life. Apparently he had been spiked with LSD, which led to the deterioration of their mental health.

For a time it was believed that Fleetwood Mac was the most popular band in the UK. They were never a band like the Doors controversial, and focused more on his music.
