When I worked in the mining industry have heard the term soft dollars Hard Dollar verses many times. Manager who constantly mentions this term of the belief that unless already registered in the production figures, it was a matter of "soft dollar" and not worth addressing.

Here is just one of hundreds of examples of "soft dollar" questions that were not worthy of attention, according to the mine site. Often managers and supervisors would be rude and aggressive to the operators of the bulldozer and a shovel. These operators then told me they made sure that the belt teeth the front of the trough against rock hard and difficult, in a deliberate attempt to stop them. Broken Tooth bucket cost many thousands of dollars to replace, and never yet realized the manager was a significant hard dollar cost due to their lack of understanding of the qualifications of soft dollar.

Tom Peters and Nancy Austin suggests in his book In Search of Excellence, which is a common error that stands out above all others and that is hard data and spreadsheets are the keys to a successful business. Peters and Austin, call for a change of "tough-minded" to the "sensitivity" of a preoccupation with the hard data and balances the concern for the "soft stuff" – the values, vision and integrity. "We have found the time to succeed long term soft is hard. "

The best leaders in school, hospital, and industry are neither difficult nor exclusively exclusively for competition. He talks constantly vision, values, integrity, home to most of the growing, and high abstract notions but as long as obsessive attention to details.

There are other payment methods so employees can dish employers who believe they are entitled to be rude, rude, bullying, blind to the needs of its employees, and that's stealing.

33% of employees admit to stealing a product or money from jobs in the past three years. Businesses loose in half 1% -2% of gross sales, which in turn leads to suffering businesses, layoffs and lost jobs. It is estimated that 30% of business failures are directly related to employee theft.

"I will pay more for the ability to deal with people than any other ability under the sun".
John D. Rockefeller

Rockefeller was for a time the richest man in the world. So here is the key to wealth, to understand the long-term success, soft is hard. "
