Used to be that you had to publish a book to be an expert. Some people still have to believe this, but with the advent of vanity presses, the merely having a book is not the same expert blessing than it used to be.

You have a business. You want more publicity. Such is the situation of the employer modern. It seems that Jill competitor is receiving in the news all the time, and she does not even know that much! How on earth it can be an expert?

In reality, anyone can become an expert. ANYONE! That is, while great news and terrible news. It's great because it means you can be an expert too! And it is terrible because it means that even Jill competitor can be an expert.

Every entrepreneur must become an expert. It will help you get more publicity, which brings more customers / users, and makes you feel good to boot! But how to become an expert? There is no such thing as school experts!

1. Talk front of an audience.
Whenever possible, teach a class, give a speech or making a presentation. Not only will it help you polish your skills, but people regarding their knowledge. If you are not comfortable speaking before a group, join Toastmasters or a public speaking class. There's nothing like actually do to cure your fear scenic! (In fact, the community theater can be a good way to get used to being in front of an audience, because you're telling the script lines and you're not alone.)
Host workshops in their space, in the Chamber of Commerce and networking events, and their local projects in adult education.

2. Write articles for publication.
Pick up some magazines in your industry that you like. Write a letter to the editor and tell him how much you love the magazine and ask Tal Tal by the writer's guidelines and editorial calendar. The guidelines indicate how to write your article, and the calendar will tell you what to write out. Write an Article knowledge sharing, a how-to, the list of tips, or other format that works for you. Try writing to the first local publications, such as your local magazine Business, Sports Weekly, etc. Once you have a "clip" (published article), you can write articles for major newspapers / magazines and include a photocopy of your previous work.
You may decide to be willing to write for free, in exchange for his leadership in the biotechnology business.

3. Writing articles for article directories online.

Write your own eZine about your industry! Place a sign of A dialog box on your website and a sign-up sheet in your workplace. So every week or two, send news and tips for your readers! If you are in need of content, search for electronic publishing well-written articles. There are plenty of providers mailing list free out there and good payment terms.

5. Write a blog
Not everyone wants to enroll in an ezine. They prefer to subscribe via RSS blog. Get a free account on WordPress, or pay for one in Typepad and write away! Since at least twice a week with lists, tips, tricks and more. Make sure you are submitting quality content and your readers coming back for more!

6. Subscribe to Help A Reporter Out.
Go Sign ezine Peter Shankman's Help A Reporter Out. Is this your inbox 3 times a day full of journalists looking for sources. You can only see a query that applies a couple of times a week, but it's worth, if you are covered! Everyone from small time bloggers magazine reporters look bright sources there.

7. Get a social life, media.
Join Twitter and Tweet away to others in their industry and seeking their services. Posting videos on YouTube. (Buy an inexpensive webcam and record directly to your computer). Get a Facebook page to promote you and your business. Get on LinkedIn and network with colleagues. (I have decided business with people I've met in LinkedIn!) There are a million different opportunities out there, but those are the big ones.

8. They offer free advice.
Go to LinkedIn Answers, Yahoo! Answers, or the needs and Haves email list and free advice. People will remember that for this, provided that respond intelligently, it is considered an expert.

9. Keep up to date and live what he preaches
Every industry evolves. If you are in web design, for example, can not do the same websites, now that you did in 1998. (or even 2005!) If you are a graphic designer, take a look at the books in innovative design in the library. If you are a personal trainer telling everyone that you can help them get in shape for bathing suit season, make sure you yourself are in that way! All his efforts are wasted if experts are not up to date and practice what it preaches.
