What is all this?

Renowned professional Paul Lundberg described him as follows "Shiatsu is characterized by its simplicity. It grew from the traditional forms of massage (called Anma in Japan and Anmo or Tuina in China) which use rubbing, stroking, squeezing, touching, pushing and pulling to influence the muscles and the body's circulatory system. By contrast Shiatsu uses some techniques and to an observer it seems that something is happening – only a still, relaxed pressure at various points of the body with the hand or thumb, a simple tilting of the elbows or a simple twist of a limb. It seems almost a lazy activity and, as far as it retains the energy, it is. But beneath the movements much more complicated is happening internally to the body's energy on a subtle level. Shiatsu was developed from the long tradition of oriental medicine and healing that works on a deep level to create a balance in the body's vital energy system known as Ki or Chi. This vital energy (ki) links our body, mind and spirit and is easily injured. This can lead to one and a hundred signs of ill health. Whether you suffer from anxiety, stress, headaches, pain, back problems or constipation is a symptom of all injuries to the complex web of life energy that sustains us. When there these symptoms are a sign that somewhere in our body has become depleted in our ki (kyo in Japanese). This reduction creates a reaction ki against and the Ki becomes excessive (jitsu) in another area. Very often what seems like the problem is only the part that is showing the jitsu. Treatments

Training

Shiatsu Society of Ireland and the UK Shiatsu Society a list of registered practitioners who use the designation or RPSSI MRSS, respectively, to show they are professionally qualified, insured and follow the codes of practice society. Both companies are members of European Shiatsu Federation.

All registered professionals have undergone a training program of 4 years, have been evaluated by the School of Shiatsu who attended and then, after another period of supervised private practice, which re-evaluated by the Accreditation Panel of the Shiatsu Society.

Pearson Prentice Hall Algebra 1 help please?

I am a father trying to help your child learn algebra, not a student trying to trick their task. His book is Pearson Prentice Hall Algebra 1. There is a great additional section entitled practice, but provided no answers. Without answers, it is useless. Even my child's teacher does not know where the answers. So I ordered the Pearson Prentice Hall Algebra 1 study guide and work, and has no good answers. I have written to Pearson, but no response. Are there any math teachers out there who can tell me what's the deal with these useless books.
