Author Gay as big as Paul Monette?

I read "The care of Miss Carol", and now I'm reading "Gold Diggers" I've tried other new novels, but nobody has a way with words like Paul Monette? Could someone please recommend some Really Great Gay novels many thanks beforehand!

Let me first say that although not a novel I would recommend "becoming a man" by Paul Monette – is his autobiography and is an incredibly beautiful book. He is one of my favorite authors and all the time you have a wonderful way with words. As for the fiction of others … there is a book out there called "Spontaneous combustion" by David Feinberg, who is very funny (Feinberg has other books to his credit, too). You also books can prove Bob Smith … but I think his tend to be collections of humorous essays that novels easier. If you like fantasy at all – is not the harbinger Last series of Mage by Mercedes Lackey which has one of the few openly gay characters in fantasy Vanyel Ashkevron. (Lackey is not gay and books are in a genre specific.) You can always check out your local bookstore – Barnes and Noble selection is decent … plus there's always the website of Lambda Rising …. Library can help.
