Winter Steelhead season is in full swing. With the holidays almost in front of us is a good time to plan a trip to Salmon River in Pulaski New York in early 2009. Fishing is what we do here in upstate New York in the famous Salmon River during the winter months.

Fishing with a guide on a boat heated drift is a great way to see the river and things that just do not see in his office. Find a friend who enjoys fishing and the opportunity to catch the fish of his life and begin making plans to travel to the area and exciting journey through the Salmon River.

We fish several different methods to catch rainbows in the winter. Fist tactic is less rebound, using conventional spinning gear we take in the races and having several pools throughout the winter Steelhead eggs using baits or flies wire. This is a productive way of attracting vary Steelhead bite.

Fly fishing would be the next tactic used to fish Steelhead. This technique would put us in the patterns of small nymphs and egg imitation flies through the queue the deeper pools to catch Steelhead. Some soft against the flies and streamers work well at this time also.

Float Fishing is another very effective way to fish for Steelhead in the winter. The deeper more slow water fishing or trout egg sacs Auditors, along with Berkley Power Worms to produce some action.
