I am pleased to announce that due to the existence of the Chronicle of America, tolerance and the type of writing, especially Peter, who has endured a lot about yours truly, I have been noticed by a publisher of travel guide. Because I was allowed to post the article after article of this publication online, I can take some big, paid gigs.

The way this works is you write much, and send your ideas in the Chronicle of America for not paying. It is hoped to write something that people really want to read and sometimes respond to. The boys and girls in the editorial offices of the Chronicle mysterious, at best, approve your articles and put them on their website. Although they are not making money in the traditional sense, going to the exhibition. You could even say that you have written a book or two and would appreciate that many people buy several copies for Christmas gifts.

Lo and behold, when I was not even looking for a publisher guide Travel, I wrote and asked for samples of my work and my resume. Of course, I did what I asked you soon! I also asked him to stop I kiss your cheek. Not really, but I was.

This travel guide editor responded. After collapsing on the floor and collect myself, I read that not only were interested in me as a writer of contract but also wants to publish one of my articles in an anthology that are coming out later this spring.

After much excitement caused by sleepless nights and lots of alcohol, which was finally able to reflect on how all this has become. I that would offer some words of advice to other aspiring writers.

First, write, write, and write some more. What I mean is that writing something publishable everyday. Write as if you have a daily column out of a deadline. This does not mean necessarily that it was published daily. The point here is that you need to produce a large amount of material. And it needs to be publishable. Make sure your best material.

Second, in this paper a day, be sure to address your niche. I write about Mexico, almost exclusively, because this is where I live and what I know. I write what I know and what I want write about life in Mexico.

Third, find a place and the Chronicle of America to present their stories. Make sure, if the publication Online allows you to publish your keywords, you choose keywords you think someone will search within your niche. For example, with the history of almost all my files, I put the words "Mexico, Guanajuato, expatriation to Mexico, travel Mexico, etc …" or some variation such as keywords.

Fourth, if allowed to send personal information, a biography or his website, then do it. You want your biographical information there. Also I have words in his biography that correspond to the key words in their stories.

Fifth, never offend their publishers. Do not be a crybaby. It is pitch. Do not think of yourself as a prima donna. There are plenty of them in the world. Frankly, not very dear. In fact, doing what their editors say. Always follow your suggestions, especially when tell him to straighten their act and fly right. I add, reluctantly, I know this from personal experience.

While none of this is guaranteed to land a gig to pay, which can be the means by which discovered it receives. The more stories you may have, with lots and lots of good keywords, get the best account of the possibilities.

I will keep all my readers of the Chronicle reported on the progress of my new local writing. I will continue to handle things many of you seem to like reading.

I want to thank the Chronicle, Peter, and all readers who have read my work.

And, sure to buy my books, many of them for Christmas gifts this year.
