Catherine J. Bernard

Of Arms and the Man by George Bernard Shaw did not get hung up on facts.
After watching Arms and the man at the Shaw Festival, I researched the history of the 1885 Serbo-Bulgarian War and I was quite surprised to learn how creative license of George Bernard Shaw almost entirely eclipses the truth of the matter … Of course, the play is a comedy, not a historical documentary, but had to change so much?
Early in the first act Catalina tells her daughter Raina about the recent battle in Slivnitza. Sergio is exalted and his cavalry charge magnificent
CATHERINE [with growing enthusiasm] You can not guess how splendid. A cavalry charge! Think about it! He challenged our Russian commanders acted without an order addressed by a charge on your own responsibility.
Well, actually, in this particular conflict, there was no command of generals Russian Bulgarian troops. Political developments in Bulgaria in connection with the disintegration of the Ottoman Empire forced the complete withdrawal of all support Russian military a year earlier, and now the Russians have refused to support the Bulgarians in their war with Serbia, and that in fact what makes the battle so significant Slivnitza, home grown Bulgarian army defeated the Serbian armed forces themselves.
CATHERINE
… gallant splendid Bulgarians with their swords and bright eyes, thundering down like an avalanche and scattering the wretched Serbs and officials of Austria dandy like straw.
Although it sounds good, in Slivitnza was actually accusing the Serbs and Bulgarians suffered heavy losses from artillery fire right direction. The result of counter-attack forced the Serbs of Bulgaria in a rearguard action, which lasted until surrendered ten days later. All the conflict lasted only fourteen days.
Petkoff's war is over. The treaty was signed three days ago in Bucharest, and the decree of our army, demobilization was published yesterday.
In fact, the peace treaty was not signed until February 1886, four months later, but that small detail Bernard Shaw had to change to establish the circumstances of comedy for the Bluntschli which carry the largest, the chocolate cream soldier.

What is Reiki? (Ray-key)
Some of you know what Reiki is.Some of you have heard of Reiki, but not sure what it is and many of you have never heard an explanation it.Here is a wonderful treatment that everyone can learn.
Reiki is a healing system naturally aims at bringing body and mind back into balance. For example, if someone has low blood pressure reiki will be at the top and blood pressure high will see that the word Reiki lowered. The loosely translates as universal life energy, although the word ki can be translated as such by Rei itself. The word can be translated as a ghost, spirit or external spiritual forces. So Reiki can be translated as spiritual energy.Ok scientific mind some of you may be a little uncomfortable, but naked with us as we find that tend to stick to science.
Oriental medicine has always worked with this kind of energy flowing through all existence. The energy known as ki in Japan, Chi in China and prana in India.Acupuncture, Tai Chi and Yoga are also based on the free flow of energy within the body.
Scientific research on therapies such as Reiki has discovered that not only the doctor's brain waves and synchronize the receiver in the alpha state, which is characteristic meditation. But deep relaxation and also pulse in unison with the Earth's magnetic field, known as the Shuman resonance. It was discovered that a biography vibrant large magnetic field is emitted by the hand during treatment that are on the same frequency as the brain Waves. But it also sweeps up and down from 0.3-30Hz, focusing particularly on 7-8Hz. Research has shown that this range of frequencies to stimulate healing within the body, with specific frequencies suitable for different body parts. For example 2Hz encourages nerve regeneration, 7Hz bone growth, 10Hz and 15Hz ligament repair of capillary formation. There is a team working on the same principles to help the regeneration of soft tissues, ultrasound technology is commonly used to clear blocked arteries and disintegrate kidney stones. It also has been known for many years that the placement of an energized coil around a fracture that refuses to heal stimulate growth bone.
One of the special features of Reiki is that both professional and the client receives the benefits of treatment, making it is very efficient. Reiki works on all levels. Because it is an energy that can work in the mind. So this makes it very good for depression, anxiety and general relaxation the emotion.
A session is usually done with the recipient bed. Reiki is completely non-invasive and you can stay fully clothed as Reiki passes through all matter. The practitioner places hands on or over the receiver, which only takes as much whenever necessary. In western treatments often keep to the allotted time, but in Japan, treatment can last hours or until it stops the flow of energy.
Reiki can be felt as a flow of energy, mild tingling, warmth, cold and other sensations, or sometimes nothing at all, but people still come out with a feeling of deep relaxation. Reiki is deeply relaxing and is very effective in relieving stress.Even one treatment can make a difference. Reiki is a very gentle yet powerful treatment that can be used together with the orthodox health care and of course expand treatment options. Reiki is easily brought to many medical conditions and can be used safely by people if all ages.
Reiki is not a religion and therefore does not conflict with any belief system. So it can be incorporated into any living ones, not matter what they believe or not believe.
Animal also love it!

The town of Dereham, Norfolk, has a population of almost 16,000 people and there is evidence to prove that existed before the Saxon era. Some believe the city owes its name to a deer park that once was in the area. Withburga Saint founded a monastery in Dereham in the seventh century after he saw a vision of the Virgin Mary.
Legend has it that when the body of St. Withburga was stolen from the city by the monks of Ely, a holy well began to flow. A bathhouse was built on the property in the eighteenth century, in a poorly received attempt to turn the city into a bathroom. No one like the new building and was criticized for being ugly, a building of brick and plaster. The local priest in 1880, requested to pull the tower. Shortly after the holy spring or was protected by an iron railing.
A group of fires in 1581 and 1659 destroyed many buildings ancient city. Among the survivors were the Church of St. Nicholas and the Bishop Bonner. The railway serving the city opened its doors in 1847, was a single Wymondham track. In 1662 he became connected to Dereham Great Eastern Railway.
The Metamec clock factory was once in Dereham. The company established models and wooden toys that were popular before the invention of molded plastic. More industrial-scale breweries including several impressive by their size and Fruehauf Trailer Company. In recent years these industries have moved away from the city leaving behind.
Author and novelist George Borrow Brian Aldiss came from Dereham and football player Harry Cripps. There is a stained glass window in the church of St. Nicholas that recognizes and celebrates the life of the famous William Cowper poet.
