setember eleven

I moved to Terre Haute, Indiana, to Cork in Ireland in 1981. Bucause I was 8 years old my father got a new job there.

The first trip was exciting and frightening. We were delayed by the strike by air traffic controllers (Rember that?). Eventully However, we left New York to London and there at the end Cork Ireland.

We had to live in a hotel for a month called jury because our house was not ready. Then we moved into our home I knew many children and made friends quickly. We lived on a high hill with fields Explorer game trials.

When he came around Setembre it was time for school. I was in third class and the school is called San Lucas. I had to take Irish as laungage. Yet few speak. I had to use a blasphemer gray, gray pants, red shirt and a red tie and gray. I had to work about a mile to school in the bottom of the hill.

During the year I played football (soccer the Irish), throw (a type Irsh old game of hockey) and cricket. When I lived there they had just 2 channels RTE 1 and RTE 2 did not arrive until 4 pm!

In weekends my family and I took a trip to the island. Our house was 30 minutes from the ocean. We went to several beaches to stroll, play or simply picnic on the water too cold. Ireland has very high tides which sometimes beaches are tide pools and people would put the boots are called Wellies and digging for mussels. most rocky beaches are very few sand. Since wind is always in Ireland, sometimes there will be inches of foam on the beach. No matter where you are in Ireland, you can listen to the call of sea birds.

My family loved to visit castles. Most Irish castles are in ruins that are open to the public. Blarney Castle was not far from Cork city and been there many times. The most important thing to do in the castle to kiss the Blarney stone. You go to the top of castle, hanging upside down and lower your head to kiss the stone.

In 1987 my family moved to Indianapolis, Indiana. Ireland was an adventure I will never forget. I have a website and below and would appreciate a look.

philip k dick
Why Philip K. Dick announced as a great writer of science fiction?

His writing seems simplistic in comparison with William Gibson, Dan Simmons, Neal Stephenson, and Frank Herbert. His books are much shorter. Not even appear to be in the same league. Some of his ideas seem silly. For example, the idea of precogs can see in the future. What you see is not really, but future events headlines. That seems more like fantasy than science fiction. Compare this with the Mentats in Dune, which are like human teams. The idea is silly compared to Mentats Precog. is Philip K. Dick 's writing in the same league as the others mentioned above?

I do not know which books they have read PKD. My two favorites are Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? And the man in the castle. One thing that is great in both of these books is the uncertainty of what is real. In the droids, humans think they are real, but in many subtle ways that seem lower than the androids. In the High Castle, the world is different from ours (this is a world where the Nazis win WW2), but a few characters sometimes have flashes what we might call the "real" world. In both cases, the tension between reality and what is false raises questions about what is important. So I would say that unlike Simmons and Stephenson, Dick's books questions about morality and human nature. I think Simmons is better in the plot (especially the first two books Hyperion) and Stephenson generate more new ideas per page (especially Snow Crash and The Diamond Age), but both seem more superficial than the KDP, to me. Comparisons Gibson and Herbert are more difficult. Neuromancer is probably the best American book of the past 25 years, Dune is perhaps my all time favorite book. I guess I think PKD is ultimately more disturbing and philosophical Dune, even though I love the world's richest Herbert. However, the androids, the question why Rachel is angry with Deckard is slippery and inviting, and raises questions about whether love is more than possession. I do not think that nothing is so emotionally Herbert complex. I think my final answer is that I think Dick is in the same league with Gibson, Neuromancer, but it's better than any of PKD books. Furthermore, Gibson had the benefit of PKD reading, and not vice versa. For that reason, I would call a draw. From a literary standpoint, I think the PRS is better than the other three writers, though each of they have a book on the shelf of my favorites. If you like these books, I recommend The Dispossessed by Ursula Le Guin.

Photoshop plug-ins?

As we all know, Adobe Photoshop has a myriad of free and paid based on plugins for it. There's nothing there that can not be create some plug-in or another. If you want a plug-in to create a page curl, to snap a picture puzzle, or even snap a picture, there's something there out. So my question is: What plug-ins you like to be the best and most useful? I use: AutoFX Mystical Tint, Tone & Color AutoFX Mystical Lighting Nik ColorFX Eyecandy Alienskin 5: Textures Alienskin Alienskin exposure XenoFX 2 Summary Efex Pro nik Color Efex Pro Corel KnockOut 2

Here's something to consider. Often plugins are elected after the shot is taken and downloaded to your PC. Open the image in Photoshop and say hmmm … I like to choose a plug-and-shoot 50 images specifically for that purpose. Enjoy watercolor, for example. The tonal range and color balance of the originals have a huge influence on how the plugin will take care of the image. I am not saying anything you do not already know, encourages you to try a new approach. My favorite teacher once said, "always look back and you will be surprised what you see when viewed from a different direction.
