It was a pleasure to get my hands on the latest edition of the "old mirrors Tale" series by Jayel Gibson. "Quondam" begins when the evil Queen sends a frenzied murderer Karid through a magical portal, into another world, to destroy the people who feared a threat to his. Karid assassination attempts ordered to remove two women through the portal in quondam. One is Cwener. It has a special power to your link with the dragon spawn. This is a half man / half dragon is to be held in exile on an island for over a thousand years. Karid Queen attempts to fight the prophecy Cwener linking to raekn D ', the dragon spawn, only manage to push them together.
Cwener When he manages to finish on the island of D'raekn's in prison, that seems to have been beaten to death. Queen's followers have horribly raped her. Convinced that it is dead, is being dumping at sea and rescued by ordinary people. D'RAEK plays a role in healing. Having been emotionally broken by their abusers, too must earn their trust. A moment of intimacy between the two begins to awaken the latent powers of the earth magic. Earlier, the Queen tried to kill all the magical beings and have powers to itself. Now the earth is awakening, and so are many of the magical inhabitants who have remained hidden.
D'Raekn Cwener and must work together to see that prophecy come true. That the people they believe their allies, working against them for their own selfish reasons, works in against them. More mysteries surrounding D'raekn must be resolved for them to find the answers they seek.
Really, really loved this story and hated to see "after" end. The magical elements add much to the story. Their feelings for D'raekn and Cwener are tumultuous and in need of some answers. The story behind the prophecy of the dragon spawn was fascinating and unique. Ultimately, this being, which occurred in a unique way, has to decide whether or not to choose to be a man or a dragon. Others decide that their love for Cwener must not stand in the way of his decision. They have a lot against them, however, despite all, their love must prevail. Fans of fantasy novels, love "quondam". Readers who have followed the other books in the series mirrors the old story does not be disappointed.
